Clinical Instructor or Clinical Assistant Professor - Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine School / Campus / College: School of Medicine Organization: Medicine, Pulmonary, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine Title: Clinical Instructor or Clinical Assistant Professor - Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine Position DescriptionThe Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine (PCCSM) is currently recruiting individuals for ICU based clinical work with patient care efforts at Harborview Medical Center and the University of Washington Medical Center (Montlake and Northwest Campuses). These positions will include clinical bedside teaching of medical students, residents and fellows. Positions may include a mix of daytime and night-time assignments or full-time night positions. University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research, and service.Three (3) full-time or part-time positions (50% or greater) are available with start dates of July 1, 2023 or later. The open positions will be at the Clinical Instructor or Clinical Assistant Professor level, based on experience and training. These positions will hold an annual appointment that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30) and may be reappointed to subsequent annual terms. Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. The base salary range for a Clinical Instructor appointment/position will be: $15,155-$17,000 per month ($181,860 - $204,000 annually) commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. The base salary range for a Clinical Assistant Professor appointment/position will be: $17,377-$19,000 per month ($208,524 - $228,000 annually) commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. These ranges are inclusive of base salary provided through the UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan, in addition to base salary provided by the University. Please note that only compensation provided by the University is included in University benefit determinations and calculations. Compensation provided by UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan may provide eligibility for separate benefits offered by that organization.
