Position Summary The Division of Nephrology at the UNC School of Medicine is recruiting for Clinical Assistant Professor. Duties include, but are not limited to, participation in outpatient dialysis and clinics and inpatient nephrology services where s/he will oversee fellows, residents, and medical students in the care of patients with acute and chronic kidney disease. The faculty candidate will provide expert outpatient consultation in chronic kidney disease as part of his/her weekly outpatient responsibilities. Responsibilities during inpatient rotations will include didactic sessions for students/residents/fellows and oversight of procedures such as dialysis catheter placement, kidney biopsy, acute hemodialysis, and continuous dialysis procedures.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements MD and BC/BE in Internal Medicine and Nephrology.

Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience Care of patients with chronic kidney disease, especially those with end-stage renal disease. Inpatient and emergency room nephrology consultation, including hemodialysis and continuous dialysis procedures.
