SEAS instructors honored with Q Certificates

Nine undergraduate course assistants and teaching fellows were among the Q Certificate recipients, as well as graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, and teaching staff.
Twenty-three instructors supporting courses at the Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS) are receiving Q Certificates, acknowledging the excellence of their work with students and the strength of their commitment to teaching.
Nine undergraduate course assistants and teaching fellows are among the recipients, as well as graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, and teaching staff.
The Q is a course evaluation system that provides important student feedback to faculty and section leaders. Certificates are awarded to instructors who received a Q score of 4.5 or higher (with a minimum of 5 evaluations) for courses taught in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences (including SEAS) during the spring semester of 2011.
The Q Certificate awards are sponsored by the Derek Bok Center for Teaching and Learning in cooperation with the Office of the Dean for Undergraduate Education.
All of the recipients will be formally honored on Wednesday, October 19.
