Fifth Ward Ald. Leslie Hairston will convene a public meeting to discuss Institutional Planned Development 43 , which covers the University of Chicago campus.

The meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19 at Hyde Park Union Church, 5600 S. Woodlawn Ave.

UChicago officials will provide updates on the proposed amendment to PD 43, filed in December, and report on progress toward commitments the University has made.

This will be the alderman’s second meeting on the Planned Development amendment. The University also convened two public meetings on the amendment and related planning last year.
