’Click It or Ticket’ Enforcement on Penn Campus

The University of Pennsylvania Police Department will participate in the national "Click It or Ticket" seat-belt-enforcement campaign through June 10.

As a part of Buckle Up PA , a project funded through the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation designed to increase seat-belt usage across the Commonwealth, law enforcement officials will cite aggressive and speeding drivers, along with drivers and passengers who are not wearing seat belts.

During the campaign, Penn Police plan to focus on the area between 30th and 43rd streets along Chestnut and Walnut streets.

As a part of Penn’s Division of Public Safety , the PPD has 116 full-time sworn municipal police officers certified through the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Municipal Police Officers Training and Education Commission.

The "Click it or Ticket" campaign in Pennsylvania features a partnership between nearly 600 law-enforcement agencies including municipal police departments, the Pennsylvania State Police , PennDOT , the U.S. Department of Transportation and community groups. They will be joined by thousands of others across the country for this national mobilization.
