Twenty-three senior health practitioners and researchers from South Africa, Liberia, Ethiopia, and Ghana have gathered at Yale for this year’s Global Health Leadership Institute (GHLI) conference, June 4-8.
The annual conference is designed to facilitate collaborative, locally driven solutions in strengthening health systems among participating delegates. This year’s conference will focus on health system issues around mental health, maternal and child health, and management capacity building.
Each country’s delegation -- comprised of senior leadership from ministries of health, non-governmental organizations, and academic institutions -- brings a health system challenge to address at the conference. Working with Yale faculty and experts, the delegates learn to apply tools of strategic problem solving to national health priorities
