CHAIR OF PLAYWRITING PROGRAM, YALE SCHOOL OF DRAMA
Reporting to the Dean of the Yale School of Drama, this position requires a senior professor of playwriting to recruit students; oversee faculty and curriculum; and administer and teach in one of the nation’s leading three-year conservatory MFA programs, with a faculty that includes Paula Vogel, Eugene O’Neill Professor of Playwriting and Playwright-in-Residence at Yale Repertory Theatre. Applicants should have demonstrated leadership in the field with at least ten years combined experience of professional work in the theater at an advanced level and distinguished teaching in the field.
The appointment will be as an Associate Professor (Adjunct) or Professor (Adjunct) of Playwriting and will be for the term of one to five years beginning July 1, 2012, renewable, and includes competitive salary with full faculty benefits.
