Summary Description: Columbia University’s Department of Medicine invites applications for the position of Associate Research Scientist to rationally design and use evolutionary methods to construct new sensors for in vivo applications. The successful candidate will have expertise in Luminescent and MRI-sensitive metal complexes, sensor that couple recognition and signaling, nucleic acid selection and medicinal chemistry/high-throughput screening.


Minimum Qualifications: Required skills: organic synthesis and characterization (NMR, MS, HPLC), cell culture techniques, basic molecular biology (PCR, gel), fluorimetric techniques and assay development.
