Description: TECHNICIAN B, CHEMICAL-MECHANICAL (C-M), Research Laboratory of Electronics (RLE)-NanoStructures Lab (NSL), to assist with laboratory maintenance and operations in a highly technical semiconductor/nano-processing facility. Duties will include performing routine lab upkeep functions, including lab cleaning; responding to user requests for chemicals and lab supplies; monitoring and maintaining specified inventory levels of chemicals and lab supplies; interacting with vendors; maintaining storage and chase areas; working with technical research personal and students to maintain and operate equipment used in fabrication; assisting in user training as requested; helping to establish and refine laboratory monitoring practices; and providing support in all areas of the labs. Will report to the research scientist of the NSL.
Experience: REQUIREMENTS: graduation from a two-year technical school or its equivalent, knowledge of safety procedures for handling chemicals and toxic gases, basic experience with the repair and maintenance of electronic equipment, and ability to lift weights of 50 lbs. A minimum of two years of applicable experience preferred, as is lab experience with cleanroom fabrication and practices. Must possess basic computer skills. MIT-00008309
