Job Description:
Saint Louis University, a Catholic, Jesuit institution dedicated to student learning, research, health care, and service, is seeking applicants for a full-time faculty position in the Division of Neonatal/Perinatal Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics at Saint Louis University School of Medicine and Cardinal Glennon Children’s Medical Center. Applicants must have successfully completed fellowship training in Neonatology. A large varied clinical service will include responsibilities in Level II and III units. Teaching of medical students, resident, fellows, community providers and NNPs will be required. A strong commitment to research, clinical and/or laboratory experience is desirable. The candidate must be BC/BE in Neonatology.
The clinical services include a 60 bed, Level III, all private room NICU, which was newly constructed in 2007 at Cardinal Glennon Childrens Medical Center in St. Louis. There is also a newly renovated, 28 bed Level III a unit at St. Marys Health Center in St. Louis, the site of the academic high risk maternity service. This facility serves 3,200 deliveries per year 50% of which are high risk, plus there is affiliation with several satellite institutions. The combined medical staff includes over 150 full time site-based Saint Louis University School of Medicine faculty. The Division of Neonatology supervises a well known neonatology fellowship training program, NIH-funded research within the division, and a variety of educational missions at the medical student, resident, and fellow levels. Cardinal Glennon Childrens Medical Center is a 190 bed, free-standing tertiary care childrens hospital with a complete range of surgical and medical pediatric subspecialties.
