a Tenure Track Assistant or Associate Professor position in Relational Communication and Research Methods. Qualifications: Ph.D. or ABD with terminal degree completion by August 2012 in Speech Communication, or a closely related field required. Proof of successful teaching experience and evidence of scholarly potential are necessary. The successful candidate must be able to teach Advanced Interpersonal, Research Methods in Communication, as well as introductory Public Speaking and Interpersonal Communication for undergraduate and graduate students. Public Relations and New Media experiences are desired. Student-centered teaching, demonstrated research scholarship potential, departmental service, engaged citizenship, and collegiality expected. The Department of Communication offers a Master of Liberal Studies concentration in Communication, a Baccalaureate in Communication, as well as an Interdepartmental Major in Afro-American Studies and Communication. Course offerings include Speech Communication, Mass Communication, Journalism, and Telecommunications.
