Department of French Tenure-Track Position, Assistant Professor Level
The Department of French at McMaster University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in North American Francophone Minority Literatures and Cultures, starting July 1st 2012. Preference will be given to candidates who specialize in one or more of the following domains: Franco-Ontarian, Manitoban, Acadian, Indigenous, Métis, or Cajun Literatures and Cultures. The selected candidate will contribute to the Department’s research endeavors, to its new PhD program and M.A. program, as well as to undergraduate teaching in literature and language. University teaching experience and practical knowledge of e-technologies in Human Sciences is an asset. The position complements the Department’s thematic emphasis on Francophonie and diversity, as well as the university’s commitment to innovation in teaching and research.
The successful candidate will have a PhD and relevant publications in one or more of the following domains: Franco-Ontarian, Manitoban, Acadian, Indigenous, Métis, or Cajun Literatures and Cultures.
