Department of Political Science Tenure-Track Position, Assistant Professor Level
The Department of Political Science invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position in Comparative Politics at the rank of Assistant Professor, commencing July 1, 2012. The successful candidate must have a program of research which contributes to the study of broad theoretical issues in comparative politics. At the undergraduate level the appointee will be expected to contribute to general political science courses and courses in an area of their expertise. At the graduate level the candidate should be able to contribute to the Masters in Political Science and the PhD program in Comparative Public Policy. The appointee will be expected to carry out an independent research program yielding significant peer‑reviewed publications and compete successfully for external funding to support this research program. Preference will be given to candidates with a completed PhD in Political Science or its equivalent, but candidates who are near completion may also be considered.
