Position Description:
The Department of Statistics at Harvard University invites applications for multiple tenure-track and tenured positions for the 2012-13 academic year. We seek exceptionally strong candidates at all levels and in any field of statistics and probability, as well as in any interdisciplinary area where innovative and principled use of statistics and/or probability is of vital importance, and where scientific challenges have provided substantial stimulus and ample testing grounds for the development of advanced statistical and/or probabilistic theory and methodologies.
Basic Qualifications:
Candidates are required to have a PhD or an equivalent terminal degree, or to be able to certify that they will receive the degree within one year of the expected start date.
Additional Qualifications:
Strong doctoral record. Exceptional teaching and research experience, or the promise of achieving such distinction.
