Full-time tenure-track assistant professor in Latin American Colonial Literary and/or Cultural Studies. Additional competence in 19th Century Latin American highly desirable; other secondary fields will also be considered.
Appointment expected to begin autumn 2012 and be ongoing pursuant to reappointment. Ph.D. required. Native or near-native fluency in Spanish, with a strong commitment to research and teaching.
Responsibilities include teaching five classes per academic year, pursuing an active research agenda, and service to the department, college and university.
