Ph.D. required in sociology or related area.

Commensurate with career stage, applicants should demonstrate excellence and productivity in research and a commitment to undergraduate and graduate teaching.
Principal duties:
Teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level. Conduct scholarly research and perform university and professional service as appropriate.
Additional Information:
The Department of Sociology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison invites applications for a position at the assistant or associate professor level with a preferred starting date of August 2012. Applicants must hold a PhD or equivalent prior to the start of the appointment. We seek candidates with demonstrated excellence in research and teaching in demography, health, family, aging, life course, migration or related fields. For a tenure position, a demonstrated record of excellence in teaching and research is required. For a tenure-track position, a period of evaluation is required.¿
