The University of Washington School of Medicine is seeking a full-time Academic Urologist at the Associate to Full Professor level to serve as the Chief of Service at Harborview Medical Center, a regional Level I Trauma Center. The candidate must have demonstrated leadership experience with junior faculty and trainees. The candidate must be able to manage a busy clinical and operative service, engage in effective multidisciplinary acute care decisions, and provide clinical expertise and sub-specialization within the field of reconstructive urology. This position requires the applicant to possess a MD degree, be board-certified with fellowship training or equivalent experience in urologic trauma and reconstructive surgery. University of Washington Faculty engage in teaching, research and service.
The candidate will act as the Director of the Trauma Fellowship program and will participate in the training of rotating residents and a Fellow in trauma and reconstructive urology. The candidate will be responsible for establishing and maintaining an active research collaboration with the Harborview Injury Prevention Research Center in areas of kidney and pelvic trauma.
