The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle, Washington, invites applications for a full-time Assistant or Associate Professor in the Division of Cardiology.
The pediatric heart failure and transplant program is the only such program in the Pacific Northwest and Mountain States. This is an active and growing program and provides services to the region for the management of end-stage cardiac failure and post-transplantation. The program has particular interest in the following areas: (1) medical management of cardiomyopathies with close collaboration from neuromuscular, metabolic, and genetic sub specialists (2) implantation of mechanical assist devices, and (3) all facets of state-of-the-art transplant care including neonatal and across blood group transplantation. The successful candidate will also be expected to participate in general outpatient and inpatient cardiology service located at Children’s Hospital and Regional Medical Center. A new pediatric cardiology fellowship program is to be launched in 2007 and all University of Washington faculty are expected to engage in teaching, research and service.
Candidates must hold a MD/DO degree, be board certified in Pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics and board eligible or certified in Pediatric Cardiology.
