The successful applicant will serve as Associate Chief of the Division of Emergency Medicine. Administrative responsibilities will include partnering with the Division Chief for administration of a large PEM division. Specific responsibilities could include quality improvement, care integration, process improvement, competency assessment, professional development, emergency preparedness, department design, outreach, system expansion, ED and community growth and divisional leadership. This individual will help lead an established 20-member Academic Emergency Medicine Division, who, along with a large stable group of clinical physicians and a growing accredited fellowship, sees over 30,000 patients per year. The Division also manages ED based urgent care as well as stand alone after hours care centers. The Division focuses on quality of care, efficiency of delivery, continual process improvement, education and research. Additional duties will include clinical care, research and teaching. There is tremendous opportunity and support for leadership, management, academic growth and career development, along with educational endeavors at all levels. University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service.</p> <br> Children’s Hospital and Regional Medical Center serves as the tertiary referral center for the WWAMI region, with referrals from and care sites in Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana and Idaho.
