The recently established Center for Tissue and Cell Sciences of the Seattle Children’s Hospital Research Institute invites applications for a full-time faculty position from established investigators who are applying techniques of molecular, genetic or cellular biology to study mechanisms of tissue response to injury. The Center’s research vision is to restore children’s health through repair, regeneration, or replacement of tissues, cells, and organs. The applicant’s area of research interest should be complementary to the interests of current faculty working on tissue inflammation and fibrosis. The successful candidate must have a M.D. and/or Ph.D. degree and active nationally funded research grants. Responsibilities of the position include development of an independent, extramurally funded research program and teaching and mentoring graduate and post-doctoral students and junior faculty investigators.
