Research position at the University of Washington School of Medicine and a non-tenure track faculty appointment with the Department of Neurological Surgery at the rank of Research Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor. Level and salary will be based on applicant’s qualifications and experience.
Seeking an individual with a published history of identifying new targets and developing novel therapeutics for the treatment of ischemic stroke and trauma, using experimental models of acute injury to the nervous system. The successful applicant will have an international reputation evidenced by scientific publication and also service on funding agency and publication review boards; a current and strong record of independent research funding from national and charitable agencies, as well as a history of successful training of pre- and postdoctoral fellows. Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree or equivalent. Faculty at the University of Washington participate in teaching, research, and service.
