Research position at Seattle Children’s Hospital Research Institute and a non-tenure track faculty appointment with the University of Washington School of Medicine at the rank of Research Assistant/ Associate Professor. Level and salary will be based on applicant’s qualifications and experience. Seeking an individual with experience with patch-clamp recordings from respiratory network contained medullary slices and ventral medulla in vivo for research on brainstem respiratory mechanisms. Applicant must have a PhD or MD/PhD and at least four years relevant experience. Candidates must have a demonstrated ability to work independently and to conduct teaching at the field research level. A commitment to teaching residents and medical students, as well as research at either the clinical or basic science level is a requirement.
