Research position at the University of Washington School of Medicine Department of Neurological Surgery and a non-tenure track faculty appointment at the rank of Research Assistant Professor. Level and salary will be based on applicant’s qualifications and experience. Applicants must have a PhD and have at least four years relevant experience. Candidates must have a demonstrated ability to work independently and to conduct teaching at the field research level. We are particularly interested in applicants developing model systems to characterize the role of mitochondrial dynamics in brain injury and disease. The successful applicant should have experience in interdisciplinary research that integrates traditional molecular biology and biochemical approaches with optical imaging and systems biology.
