The appointment is in the physician-scientist pathway at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service. The person who occupies this position will be expected to have an MD and an established independent research program in health services research, clinical epidemiology, or another facet of general medicine (e.g. chronic disease management). Partial salary support for this position will be provided for the first three years of appointment and subsequently the successful applicant will be expected to secure funding for their research. In addition to a research program, the applicant will be expected to participate in direct clinical care in general internal medicine and clinical teaching. This position is open until filled.
