He/she will have a record of independent research and a proven record of independent grant support. Scholarly credentials for tenured (associate professor) or tenure track (assistant professor) faculty appointment at UW-Madison. Experience in cancers of the GI tract would be an advantage.
Research in an area of gastroenterology and hepatology. The candidate will be a clinician with scholarly interests in gastroenterology & hepatology. The incumbent will participate in the teaching programs of the section. The incumbent will participate fully in the clinical work of the section of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, including patient management and endoscopic procedures. Consideration will be given to appointing the appropriate candidate as Chief of Gastroenterology at the Wm. Middleton Veterans Administration Hospital within the section of GI & Hepatology. Time will be devoted to clinical practice, as well as clinical investigation, teaching, governance and professional, public and university service as expected of a tenured/tenure track faculty member.
