Participation in the hardware development for SNOLAB detectors, including the design, construction, testing, deployment, commissioning and operation of low background detectors, electronics for counting systems and techniques for evaluating low backgrounds; these systems may be part of the Picasso, DEAP, SNO+ experiments at SNOLAB in Sudbury, Ontario, or the low-radon laboratory at the University of Alberta
The successful candidate(s) must possess a PhD in a related field (particle physics, astroparticle physics), one year of postdoctoral experience, and an ability to work in a team environment.
In accordance with the Trust/Research Academic Staff agreement, this temporary position has an expected appointment of two years and offers a comprehensive benefits package and annual salary range of $49, 801 to $56, 029 commensurate with qualifications. Please note that salary will be subject to the University Furlough Levy.
