The Division of General Academic Pediatrics (GAP) at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh and the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine are seeking faculty members for both the clinician educator and research tracts. Positions are open at the entry or mid-level in the non-tenure stream. Clinician Educator: Ideal candidates have fellowship training, a MPH, chief residency or significant teaching experience, and a strong interest in improving care to underserved children. Clinical Researcher: Ideal candidates have fellowship training or PhD, research experience and the goal of becoming an independently funded clinical researcher. The GAP Division is distinguished by (1) excellence in clinical care in the outpatient and community settings, (2) a record of academic achievement in medical student, resident and fellow education, and (3) diverse and high impact clinical research activities. Pediatric outpatients are cared for in a recently renovated facility adjacent to faculty offices at the University of Pittsburgh campus, and at two community-based primary care centers. Our faculty provide newborn care and teaching at the adjacent Magee-Womens Hospital. All divisional activities are supported by a vibrant university community well poised to move into the future. Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh has been consistently ranked among the top children’s hospitals in the US, and is one of the fastest growing NIH-funded pediatrics departments.
