The University of Washington School of Nursing seeks dynamic individuals for the position of Research Assistant Professor in the departments of Biobehavioral Nursing and Health Systems, Family and Child Nursing, or Psychosocial and Community Health. Appointment at the Research Associate and Research Professor levels also will be considered under exceptional circumstances. Work environment includes strong participatory decision-making, critical thinking, and collaborative mentoring for developing academic investigators.
Faculty in Psychosocial and Community Health actively engage in teaching, research, and practice, focused on promoting health and preventing disease through individual and community action. In Family and Child Nursing, faculty teach and advance research in education and clinical practice promoting the health and development of families. Biobehavioral Nursing and Health Systems faculty teach, advance nursing science, education, practice, and community service related to the health and illness of adults and older adults, using a biological and behavioral perspective; and health care systems.
