The Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center (FHCRC) and the University of Washington (UW) are jointly recruiting a full-time faculty member at the Assistant Member, Research Assistant Professor level for a joint faculty position in the Public Health Sciences Division of the FHCRC and the Pharmaceutical Outcomes Research and Policy Program (PORPP) in the School of Pharmacy at the UW. The individual is expected to engage in health policy and comparative effectiveness research in cancer. The ideal candidate would have a PhD in health economics, health services research, outcomes research, or a related discipline. Candidates should have a strong promise of professional achievement, including peer-reviewed publications and an interest in leadership as independent researchers. Successful faculty will write their own research grants as well as collaborate on grant proposals with colleagues at the FHCRC and UW. In addition, School of Pharmacy faculty engage in graduate and post-doctoral teaching, mentorship, research and service. Candidates should have interest in oncology-related applications of their discipline(s) and a demonstrated capacity for working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary setting. Physicians or other clinicians with advanced training in these disciplines are also encouraged to apply. The primary appointment will be in the Public Health Sciences Division of the FHCRC.
