Degree and area of specialization:
DVM (or equivalent); Board certification or board eligible in the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine - Specialty of Oncology highly desirable; Board certification or board eligible in the American College of Veterinary Radiology - Specialty of Radiation Oncology preferred.; PhD preferred.
License/certification:
Must be eligible to obtain licensure to practice veterinary medicine in Wisconsin.
Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
Experience with didactic, laboratory and clinical teaching of medical oncology and/or radiation oncology preferred. Demonstrated research productivity or potential desirable.
Principal duties:
Teaching, research and service responsibilities to the Department, School and University in the area of veterinary and comparative oncology. The candidate would be expected to teach at the professional and graduate student levels and be involved with continuing education programs for veterinary practitioners in Wisconsin.
Additional Information:
Strong initiative and excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills are required.
